The welfare of children is our first priority. Every child has the right to enjoy football free from abuse, harm and exploitation, whatever their age, gender, ability, race, religion or background.
Our commitments
- We follow The FA's Safeguarding Children policy and procedures.
- All coaches, managers and volunteers who work with children are recruited safely, hold an appropriate DBS check and complete The FA's safeguarding training.
- We have a trained Club Welfare Officer (see below) whose role is to be the first point of contact for any welfare concern.
- Coaches follow our Code of Conduct and are never left alone with a single child out of sight of others.
- Photography and social media are managed in line with The FA's guidance, and only where parents/carers have given consent.
